My experience varies with a combination of educational, creative and professional experience which would be valuable for the position.

As an English Instructor I have endeavored to teach and assist others to learn the elements of English through the use of many different teaching styles and methodologies. To reach as many students’ needs as possible I incorporate the use of various forms of group interactions which will, along with my guidance, help the students develop the skills that I presented to them in the lecture. Once the student personally begins to develop those skills and has the chance to share his/her thoughts and opinions he/she will choose to use the information instead of being told to use the information.

My creative and professional experience includes designing, composing, performing and writing. I designed and created an independent record company titled Blue Hush Productions (www.bluehush.com) for which I published two CDs: A.C. Sharp’s Drifters and azure rising’s Lessons (www.azurerising.com). Both albums include my original compositions for which I produced, mixed and mastered in my own home studio. I am versed in various forms of electronic music applications and world percussion styles and toured with azure rising in local venues. Also, as a performer, I have studied various forms of speech and theatrical techniques including: script writing, directing, scene and lighting design, make-up design, video production, and public relations and promotion.

As a writer, I am versed in all forms of styles and genres. I have worked as an editor and senior editor for various local literary magazines and continue to write poetry, stage plays, screenplays and teleplays, fiction, non-fiction, educational writing, as well as technical and grant writing. I am also well versed in many forms of research techniques and critical thinking techniques. And, I am knowledgeable of various forms of word processing, editing styles and formats which include: MLA, APA, Chicago and Turabian.

With my experience in education, creative fields, and professional experience I am always ready and focused as an actively efficient and prepared individual who is ready for any situation whether in education, creative fields or professional applications.
